SUSHIRO Rolls Into Chinatown Point: Japan's No.1 Conveyor-Belt Sushi Lands in Singapore's Heritage District
SUSHIRO opened its 22nd Singapore outlet at Chinatown Point on 5 June 2026. The store sits on level two of the mall, a short escalator ride from Chinatown MRT, and marks the chain's first try at a heritage district location.
The neighbourhood has always mixed old and new. Smith Street hawker stalls sit a few minutes from conveyor-belt sushi, dim sum, and Korean fried chicken. SUSHIRO simply adds another reliable, air-conditioned option for locals and visitors who want predictable quality without a high price ceiling.
How the Chinatown Point Outlet Works
The format is the standard SUSHIRO setup. Diners sit at counter seats or small tables. Plates in four colours move around the belt, priced from $2.30++ to $7.90++. You can also order from a touch panel if the belt does not carry what you want.
The menu covers more than 100 items: basic salmon and tuna, seasonal specials, grilled items, tempura, ramen, chawanmushi, and fried chicken. Plates are cleared once they have circled a set number of times, so nothing sits too long.
1-for-1 Opening Deals Until 18 June
From 5 to 18 June, the outlet ran a series of 1-for-1 promotions. Each deal focused on one item served as a pair on the same plate. Bluefin fatty tuna led at $7.90++, followed by big red shrimp at $4.30++, big cut fresh salmon at $5.90++, medium fatty tuna at $5.90++, salmon roe wrap at $7.90++, and aburi soy sauce engawa at $4.30++.
Drinks were also discounted during the period. Lemon sour, Premium Malts, and Kaku highball were each $6.00++.
Opening Day Gachapon
On 5 June only, diners who spent $50 in a single receipt could spin the Sure Win Gachapon machine. Prizes included dining vouchers, drink coupons, Chinatown Point collectibles, and Dakkosushi merchandise. It was a one-day-only add-on that drew the usual queue of families and collectors.
Who Should Go
The outlet suits two groups. The first is anyone already in Chinatown for shopping or errands who wants a quick, reliable meal without queueing for a hawker stall. The second is families with children, because the conveyor belt itself is entertainment. Prices stay low enough that an experimental order does not sting.
