Chinatown Singapore will once again transform into a dazzling corridor of light for the Mid-Autumn Festival 2026, with giant lantern installations stretching along Eu Tong Sen Street and New Bridge Road.
The annual lantern displays — often featuring mythical creatures, zodiac animals, and scenes from Chinese folklore — are one of Singapore's most photographed attractions. Lights are switched on nightly from 7pm starting mid-September.
The street bazaar offers an incredible array of mooncakes from renowned bakeries, pomelos, yam cakes, traditional lanterns, and tea sets. Cultural stage performances featuring Chinese dance, music, and martial arts take place at Kreta Ayer People's Theatre and open stages throughout the festival period.
Tip: Visit on weekday evenings for a more relaxed experience. The bazaar is typically open from late afternoon to 10:30pm.
