Offering Services Officer

The Offering Services Officer is responsible for providing frontline retail and customer service support at the temple’s offering counter. This role requires the officer to assist devotees and visitors with the purchase of offering items and related merchandise, while ensuring efficient, respectful, and professional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive frontline service at the retail counter and attend to devotees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Sell offering items such as blessing lamps, flower lamps, Dana foods, incense, and souvenir products including bracelets, chanting beads and hanging accessories.
• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently.
• Assist customers in using self-service kiosks when required.
• Ensure smooth daily retail operations and support service delivery during peak periods and special temple events.
• Support operations during major festivals and religious observances, including Chinese New Year, Yuan Xiao Festival, Ching Ming Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, weekends, and public holidays.
• Perform overtime duties when required for ceremonies, Yuan Xiao, Mid-Autumn Festival, grand meal offerings, and other temple functions.
• Maintain cleanliness and order at the retail counter and service area.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Working Hours

The role operates on a 2-shift arrangement:

• 1st Shift: 6:45am to 4:25pm
• 2nd Shift: 7:45am to 5:25pm

Job Requirements

• Able to stand for extended hours.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Flexible to work during peak festival periods and special events.
• Proficient in using POS systems and self-service kiosks.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Able to carry light to moderate weight items ranging from 1kg to 2kg, including dana food items such as dana rice and dana sugar.
