Gochi-So Shokudo Japanese Restaurant ごち惣食堂 Chinatown Point

Not a very pleasant experience. I went to this outlet around 3 plus which I believed is their staff lunch break time so I was just standing at the entrance hoping to get their attention. Luckily one lady staff finished her lunch and saw me but bluntly just signalled me to the table infront of her and said “ scan qr order” Mmmm 😑😑😑 feels like I’m disturbing their rest time. The table the she signalled me was unwiped and visible food scraps still on the table so I just told her I will sit on another table. But well just my luck, the table that I changed to has hair from the previous customer I guess? Things just doesn’t seems too friendly or hygienic. I was attracted to their promotion set meal so I just go ahead to order , was ok but nothing to shout about. The katsu was wet at the bottom and the sesame sauce on top of the shredded cabbage seems like it was on standby for quite some time already maybe due to the busy crowd? I’ve had very good experience from other outlets but Chinatown outlet was a let down. Price was good but service and food taste will not make people come back

Would recommend the $9.90 Tonkatsu Set if you would like to have a budget friendly meal. The food is just average in my opinion, the Pork Sirloin is a little bit dry and tough to bite, sauce is pretty good tho. Wouldn’t recommend their Iberico Pork Jowl Rice, reason being the Pork Jowl is not being properly grilled, not enough char aroma, the meat is too smooth and gluey.

The food in this Chinatown Point outlet is not very cleaned. My whole family got a severe diarrhea after eating the food here. My father ended up visiting a doctor and paid for the hefty sum of medical fees. The pork cutlets are very stale and not cooked at all. I recommend others diners not to eat at this restaurant.
