Great refreshing old school noodles. Thick plump non fatty char siew oh so fresh. Great tasty wantons. Interesting veggie chestnut prawn dumplings. Great spicy chilli too. Fast service. Love the Q noodles.

At around 7:10am, I noticed a stall I hadn’t tried before already had a queue, which usually means it’s worth a shot—so I ordered their wanton mee. While waiting, I noticed a newspaper clipping at the stall saying it’s considered Michelin-worthy in the Chinatown area. First impression: the portion of noodles was generous. First bite: the noodles were nicely done, and the sauce had a distinct, unique flavour—quite different from the typical wanton mee. The three wantons in the soup were meaty, had thin skins, and were delicious. Overall, it was an excellent plate of wanton mee, and I’d definitely eat it again.

Sampled Wantan Noodles ($4) for breakfast. Noodles were ‘q’ (chewy, not overcooked). Wantans (pork dumplings) were legit. Generous with ‘char siew’ (BBQ pork) slices. Could do with more greens. Appreciated that stall uses ‘la pok’ (pork lard cubes) which added aroma to the plate

Order their wantan mee with add-on of their dumplings to try. The egg noodle was cook until very QQ and the sauce mix well together with noodle. The char siew meat is thick and generous. For the dumpling and wantan, it is wrap with generous ingredient but for taste wise I find it above average. Fragrant enough.

This wanton mee was old school, with the chewy egg noodles and you have to mix the pork lard with the chilli yourself. Chilli could be better, not so spicy. Pork lard pairs well. The charsiew was quite nice indeed and i added extra to make me fuller. Overall was quite a good plate of Wtm.

I've eaten at this stall for a couple of time, simply love their noodles. I ordered takeaway this time round as I've just had lunch, can't resist ordering takeaway for dinner. Their noodles is cook to my liking, springy and nicely seasoned. Be sure to ask for extra chilli as their home made chilli sauce is very fragrant. They close at 2.30pm, be sure to be there early.

Ordered the regular wanton noodle ($4 a plate). Noodles are springy and cooked just nice. Char Siew not the thin and dry slices but thick and juicy and not oily. Overall, worth the visit. Visited 2nd time (17th Aug 2025), where we ordered the large portion ($5.50), apparently standard has dropped especially for the char siew, they were thinner and bland.

The wanton mee looks very ordinary but cooked by young man. The noodles are very springy but not undercooked. The sauce is quite good the likes of Eng noodles but I still prefer the latter. The char siew is really very tender (wonder how they did it) but it’s quite tasteless to me. The wanton and soup taste quite nice too.

Had breakfast at Chinatown food complex. This seems to be the only stall selling Wanton Char Siew Noodle. The Char Siew is thick-cut, not too sweet. The noodle with a hint of pork lard is flavourful. Wanton in peppery soup is alright. Awesome value at $3.50.

Tried it since I was there for the famous traditional dessert. The char siew is cut thick and whilst it is not dry, I find it a bit lacking in taste as well as too lean - prefer if it had been pork collar cut (maybe it was?). Noodles nicely done and al dente. The $4 portion included 3 wanton which imo is nothing to shout about.
