Delicious food, affordable prices and generous portions! The pineapple fried rice is very fragrant, and the basil pork is spicy and flavourful. Stall owner is friendly and polite. If you're craving thai food this is the place for you.

Ordered basil chicken rice for dinner earlier. Love the level of spice and the portion is really generous! Great service too 😊 Will be back to try out the rest of the menu 🤗

Dinner dated 21 July 2025. Pork basil rice at $6. Affordable and delicious. Rice was hot and moist. Egg was freshly fried. Pork was slightly spicy and savoury. Quantity was very acceptable. My go to place to eat affordable Thai food after work.

Bought Basil Port Rice takeaway 🥡. I asked for medium Spiciness . It cost $6.20 for takeaway . Still not spicy 🌶️ enough. The portion and ingredients with an Egg for $6 is rather generous and delicious . Will try out her other dishes next time

I got the prawn omelette rice here for $6. The dish took about 10 mins to prepare; it was freshly done and the omelette was crispy. There seemed to be only a few pieces of prawns, or at least the taste of prawns wasn’t strong because the omelette was quite oily and heavy on its own.

You can find tasty authentic Thai dishes served here. Had their basil chicken with rice, which is very nice and spicy with Thai level of spiciness. The portion size is very generous for the 6SGD that I paid. The shop owner lady is also very polite. Recommended.

This was a pretty average experience. It’s a fairly popular stall but you don’t see the queue as they hand out beepers to keep you at your seat. I order basil pork rice and requested for the egg to be swapped for more minced meat and they were willing to make the arrangement. I do appreciate this flexibility. However, I found the dish to be overall a little underwhelming. Perhaps my expectations were set too high? It’s definitely not poor but I won’t be recommending this Thai spot to my friends.

The Belachan Fried Rice is good, portion is generous compared to typical hawker fare but service a little slow. Run by 2 Thai ladies, the stall accepts QR Pay but may be a little difficult to find in this 200 outlet Chinatown Complex on L2. Located at the far end of the Hawker Center facing the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, it is however easier to find seats at this corner

Out of the 3 thai food stalls I knew at Chinatown food centre, think only this one offers the CDC voucher option and think all 3 stalls sell authentic thai food. I had green curry rice set which fundamentally has similar taste to that in Thailand and technically is localised to our palate due to use of local ingredients. I will definitely try other items on their menu next time. The lady boss is friendly too.

So delicious. We got the basil pork, kway teow (chicken) and spring rolls. Enough for 2 for $18 SGD. Tasted fresh from Thailand. The hawker has fans going to keep you cool in the heat.
