Free inflatable-rabbit lantern installation on the SCCC roof garden, 11 September to 13 December 2026. The large Mid-Autumn photo stop nearest Chinatown after the street light-up was cancelled.
About the installation
Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre presents Bit Bit Forest Mid-Autumn Light Up, licensed from Hong Kong designer Chan Siu Kau. Five giant lighted inflatable rabbits occupy the roof garden and concourse. One rabbit unique to Singapore wears a kebaya at the concourse.
2026 dates
- Installation: 11 September to 13 December 2026, 10am–10pm
- Mid-Autumn Family FUN weekend: 19–20 September, 1pm–9pm, at SCCC and Singapore Conference Hall
- Entry: Installation is free. Some MAFF workshops and the SCO concert are ticketed
What to do
- Photograph the roof garden rabbits after dark
- Find the kebaya rabbit at the concourse
- On 19–20 September, add the Hanfu corner, lantern walk, or a paid workshop
Chinatown itself is running community lanterns at Kreta Ayer Square, not a street light-up. Pair this with the Kreta Ayer programme or the walking notes from Chinatown.
